Fund Raising

Woodlands Park Community First Responders are a self funding volunteer group who work along side South Central Ambulance Service voluntarily in the local area of Woodlands Park, near Maidenhead, Berkshire.

As we are self funding its very important for us to have funds available to buy new equipment when needed for the group. Whilst South Central Ambulance Service provide us with our first initial responder kit including Defibrillator and Kit bag. As a group we have to share this around many volunteers.
Fundraising Event

The ideal is to have funds available for a second kit. This means having a second kit in the area which allows more than one responder to be on call at the same time. Having more than one responder on duty allows for more hours to be covered within the area thus being able to respond to more life threatening 999 calls within the day.

Of course our funding pays for more than just our response kits. We have to find the money for Clothing for our volunteers. At the moment we are having to share High Visibility Jackets which is not ideal as our members are all different sizes. Fleeces are also available to buy for our members but these cost around £30.00 each.

On top of the above, Mobile Phone bills have to be paid for. These cost around £10 - £15 per month per phone and is currently paid via a top up voucher by our scheme.
Replacement Defibrillator pads have to be bought once used. These cost £25.00 per set. They are not reusable and so have to be replaced after every use or even when the expiry date runs out. These are one of most important items of our kit and something we cannot do without.

Below is a list of items that have to be paid for and also replaced.

This is where you can help.
Woodlands Park Community Responders run under the South Central Ambulance Service Charity. We have our own pot within this charity and all funds donated to the Woodlands Park First Responders are placed into this pot for us to use where needed.
We always need a continuous cash injection into our charity pot to help keep us running 24/7 365 days a year.
Well that's the aim of our responder group. Unfortunately its not always 24/7 cover that we can give. If however the funds were there to support more responders with uniforms, more kit for the group inc mobile phone bills paid for then we will be most of the way there.
Your support is so important to the existence of the Woodlands Park Community First Responders. If you live or run a business within the local Woodlands Park area then why not think about donating to us.
If you would like to support us then please use our Contact Form to get in touch.

There are many different ways you can donate to us and its not just money donations we need.
BELOW IS A LIST OF ITEMS WE CURRENTLY NEED

Banners and Display Stands

Yes money pays for the kit and clothing above but maybe you run a business making banners or display stands, Our group does not currently have any of these and would be appreciative to anyone who would donate the above. We can then hold car boot sales and attend fetes etc. With a clear identity at these events we can fund raise regularly in the knowledge that we can be clearly seen.
